1. Download Crypsta for free
2. Register as an individual or as a company with your email address and create a password
3. When you enter Crypsta you will have immediate access to:
a) Timeline: the user’s own posts are shown, as well as posts written by people the user follows.
b) Popular and Recent: the most popular posts based on «likes» and comments on the map, as well as those most recently viewed.
c) New post: here you can post using the camera/video camera inside the app or import a picture/video (maximum 1 hour) from your media library, or post a simple text. The user can choose to post only on the Timeline and/or on the map. The user can also choose to post anonymously.
d) Messages: private messages categorized by recent activity and by name.
More: users can organize tabs with the edit button in the right upper corner.
You also have access to:
- Nearby: a map that keeps the users updated on what’s happening locally. It’s also possible to «travel» by scrolling and exploring users’ posts in the rest of the world.
- Profile: on this page the user can:

- Settings: An option for extra security: An autolock code using 4 digits. This lock will come on every time the user leaves the app or the phone goes to sleep. If the user taps the wrong code 3 times a clock starts counting down to the next possible attempt to enter the code.
- Invite friends to Crypsta; send invitations through email and sms to any or all of your contacts
- Logout
Crypsta end-to-end encryption:
Crypsta use a unique key encryption algorithm for each message. This process generates cipher-text that can only be viewed in its original form if decrypted with the correct key.
In other words, there are no third parties (including Crypsta) that have the possibility to access Crypsta users’ private messages. Only the sender and the receiver have access.
Deleting messages and posts on Crypsta:
Users can delete messages and posts. These messages or posts will immediately be deleted from all devices as well as on the server. Posts can also be deleted from the map.
Reporting a post on Crypsta
The exclamation mark below each post is the «report button»
If you find a post that you find inappropriate/offensive, it is possible to report this, and our Report Department will take a look at that specific post.
- Crypsta does not report/reveal any posts or activity to other third parties. However, if we find it necessary we might take appropriate actions to remove the post or the user account.
IAP Crypsta:
It’s free to download Crypsta. Each user has a daily limit of 5 free PERSONAL messages. If you surpass this number of messages you will be offered unlimited private messages for 1.09 EUR. This is a one-time payment.
We have made this IAP so Crypsta can continue to develop and offer our users the best service possible.
